Officers carried out warrants at addresses across the city this morning.

They included properties in Enfield, Southgate and North Finchley.

The warrants were carried out as part of Operation Furlong, which targets those believed to be involved in knifepoint robberies on public transport in London.

Those arrested this morning were all arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery and are currently in custody:

– An 18-year-old man from North Finchley

– An 18-year-old man from Enfield

– A 20-year-old man from Southgate

– A 22-year-old man from Enfield

– A 15-year-old boy from Enfield

– A 16-year-old boy from Southgate

– A 15-year-old boy from Enfield

– A 16-year-old boy from Willesden

– A 17-year-old boy from Croydon

– A 16-year-old boy from Hertford

– A 15-year old girl from Enfield

– A 17-year-old girl from Hatfield

– A 17-year-old boy from North Finchley

A number of knives were also seized during the investigation.

Det Insp Daren Bates said: “Operation Furlong is a citywide initiative to target those suspected of being involved with knifepoint robberies across the capital.

“Dozens of officers were involved in the warrants this morning and we’re pleased to report that 13 people have been arrested.

“Knife crime is not something we will tolerate. Anyone who carries a knife or uses a weapon…know that we will find you and we will prosecute.”
