businesses hub for small enterprises, entrepreneurs and creative makers is getting ready to open its doors in Wood Green – and anyone interested in using the space can get in touch now.

Wood Green Works will be based on two floors of unused council offices at 40 Cumberland Road. It will combine flexible and affordable workspaces, co-working, training rooms and creative spaces ideal for local entrepreneurs and start-up companies, as well as access to grants and business advice from Nwes – the country’s largest enterprise agency.

Refurbishment works are due to finish at the end of March, and the doors are expected to open in April – with resident Vivian Obiji as its Centre Manager. Vivian worked with the council’s Haringey Employment and Skills Team – known as HEST – which helps locals develop the skills and confidence necessary to find the right job for them.

Vivian said: “It’s been great to have the support of HEST – the team have helped me to find a role that I’m really excited about. I can’t wait for us to open the doors to Wood Green Works, which will provide opportunities for other locals, like me, to build and expand their careers.”
