Detectives from the Serious Collisions Investigations Unit (SCIU) are appealing for information following a serious collision in Hackney

Officers were called on Friday, 16 February at 06:50 hours to a report of a car in collision with a pedestrian in Stoke Newington Church Street.

Officers and the London Ambulance Service (LAS) attended and found a 92-year-old woman seriously injured.

She was taken by LAS to an east London hospital, where she remains with life threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, a 54-year-old man stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries. He has not been arrested
