Greece and Cyprus are set to sign next week three Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) on maritime, cultural and environmental affairs, on the sidelines of next week’s Trilateral Summit between Cyprus, Greece and Jordan.

The Summit will take place on Tuesday and as CNA has learnt, the Prime Minister of Greece will be accompanied by four Ministers, Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs Georgios Katrougalos, Minister of Shipping & Maritime Affairs Panagiotis Kouroumblis, Minister of Environment and Energy Giorgos Stathakis and Minister of Culture Lydia Koniordou.

The Greek delegation is expected to arrive on Tuesday morning at Larnaca airport, ahead of the delegation from Jordan, which will be headed by King Abdullah II.

At the Presidential Palace, in Nicosia, the delegations will meet bilaterally and will embark on their first Trilateral Summit, after which they are expected to issue a Joint Declaration.

The President of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades, the Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and the King of Jordan Abdullah II are expected to speak to the Press at 2pm local time.

The Greek delegation is expected to depart from Cyprus early on Tuesday afternoon.
