LONDON TRIUMPHS OVER MIDLANDS FOR FIRST TIME IN THREE YEARS!!

The annual golf match between London and the Midlands was held at Collingtree Park Golf Club on the 27th of September.

Captain Michael Falekkos, now fully recovered from his thumb injury chose his team through order of merit, the singles champion plus a couple of wild cards.

This year’s team was one of the strongest it’s been for a number of years and they were determined to bring the trophy back to London.

The boys started off in the morning with the doubles , and led by Michael Falekkos and partner Stathis Liasis our singles champion, smashed their way to a 5-1 lead in the six matches.

London boys were in no mood to let go of their lead and came in from the afternoons 12 singles matches  winning 8 points to 4 , with an overall victory of 13 points to 5.

This was a very sweet victory and well overdue but fully deserved. Congratulations go to captain Michael Falekkos and his team, Stathis Liasis, Louis Leonida, George Vavvs Georgiou, Andy Georgiou, Savva Savva, Michael Kyriacou, Gilly Takkas, Andrew Adams, David Blackwood, Michael Tsangarides and Alex Adams.
