Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for information and witnesses after a 40-year-old motorcyclist died in Green Lanes.

 

Police were called to Green Lane, N4 junction with Woodberry Grove at 11:00hrs on Sunday, 22 October to reports of a male who had fallen from his motorcycle.

 

London Ambulance Service attended but the motorcyclist died at the scene.

 

Enquiries into the full circumstances are ongoing and police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

 

Officers are in the process of contacting next of kin. A post-mortem will be scheduled in due course.

 

Officers from Hackney remain on scene and road closures are in place.

 

Motorists are advised to avoid this area where possible as road closures are likely to be in place for some time.
