A man has been jailed for more than five years for the supply of Class A drugs. 

Guvench Gungor, 26 (14.09.90), of Avenue Road, N6, was convicted and sentenced at Wood Green Crown Court today, Tuesday, 12 September to five and a half years’ imprisonment for possession with intent to supply class A drugs and possession of criminal property.

The court heard that on Saturday, 12 August, detectives from Hackney conducted a search of Gungor’s home address and found a significant quantity of class A drugs and approximately £25,000 in cash.

Also at the address were drugs paraphernalia, weighing scales and mobile phones.

Gungor was arrested and charged later that day.

Analysis of the drugs confirmed that 552 wraps seized at the address were Class A drugs (cocaine and heroin) with an estimated street value of £6,300.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Adam Langley, of Hackney CID said: “I am pleased that Gungor has pleaded guilty. Police officers work relentlessly to arrest and prosecute anyone involved in the supply of illegal drugs.”
