Police in Enfield have arrested six men and recovered two stolen mopeds and a knife.

Shortly after midnight on Thursday, 27 July, police were called to a man, believed to be in his 20s stabbed in the area of Ayley Croft Estate, Enfield. The man was taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment to a serious injury to his hand.

There was also a call to the attempted robbery of a moped rider nearby.

Six suspects, for both the stabbing and the attempted robbery, were identified and monitored by a police helicopter as they rode to the Edmonton Green area. The suspects decamped and ran off along an unlit path, pursued by police officers on foot.

The six suspects were all arrested, and two stolen mopeds were recovered along with a large knife.

All six males – one aged in his 20s and the rest in their teens – have been taken into custody at a north and east London police stations.
