On Saturday 24 June, NEPOMAK UK took over the River Thames to host their highly anticipated Boat Party on the Golden Jubilee Boat. Over 180 people attended and it was an incredibly successful and enjoyable evening. The smiles on everyone’s faces reflected this sentiment as young Cypriots from across the UK, and even across the globe, came with eagerness to share their love for Cypriot music and dance, right in the heart of London.

The sold-out event was kindly sponsored by Philip Ross Solicitors, Robert Irving Burns, Elysée and GreekBeat Radio.

Whilst sailing down the Thames and taking in the breath-taking sights of London under the sunset, guests were entertained by the talented DJ HardiHood who played the best of Greek, English and Armenian music. He put on a great show and ensured that the dancefloor was buzzing throughout the night with guests dancing to their hearts’ content!

NEPOMAK UK President, Harry Charalambous, thanked those present and said that, “our committee and organising team have done an amazing job. All our hard work has really paid off and I can’t wait for our next event. NEPOMAK UK is constantly seeking to grow and it is thanks to the enthusiasm of its members which allows for the success of events such as the Boat Party.”

The Boat Party was the perfect example of what NEPOMAK stands for; bringing together young Cypriots from all over the world to promote and celebrate Cypriot culture and heritage.
