Kyriakos  George Karageorgis also called by the first name of George sadly passed away last Saturday 7th January 2017 at the age of 57.

Kyriakos was born in London on the 16th of February 1959 the son of Maro and George Karageorgis from the village of Lefkoniko in Cyprus who was one of the founders of the famous Greek restaurant Elysee in the West End

He attended Highgate High School from there he graduated in Economics from Hull University.

From there he joined the family business but soon after he opened his own restaurant the T Bone Steak House in Barking which he ran for 17 years and from 2009 he became the owner of the Clissold Arms Gastro pub in Fortis Green, Muswell Hill.

Kyriakos, George Karageorgis who who was well known for his charismatic character built the Clissold Arms into a hub of the North London Community  where local societies and charities would hold their meetings and events. And was named Best Family Pub in London and the South East in 2014-15 and 2015-16,

The Clissold Arms is also the home of The Kinks, having had the honour of hosting their first gig in December 1960, and their last gig, in June 1996. In their honour, the Clissold Arms Kinks Room is adorned with Kinks memorabilia and is the pride of Kinks fans from all over the world.

He leaves behind his beloved parents Maro and George , his two children, Victoria and George, two sisters Nevi and Rea, and many relatives and friends.

The funeral will take place at 10am on Saturday 21st January 2017 at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of All Saints in Camden Street , London NW1 0JA and the burial at New Southgate Cemetery.

The wake will be held afterwards at the Clissold Arms, 105 Fortis Green, East Finchley, London N2 9HR.
