Roads and Transport Policing Command officers are still appealing for witnesses to serious collision in Stoke Newington that left a cyclist with a serious injury.

Police were called at around 16:20hrs on Wednesday, 16 November by London Ambulance Service to a suspected collision in Stoke Newington Church Street, N16.

Officers attended and found a 29-year-old woman injured. She was taken to hospital; her injury is described life changing. She is currently in still in hospital.

Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are carrying out enquiries into the circumstances of the incident.

Witnesses have initially reported that the cyclist had possibly been in collision with a bus which did not stop.

It has now been ascertained the cyclist was in collision in car.

A 30-year-old man attended a police station by appointment and was interviewed under caution on 23 November.

He was not arrested.
