Detectives from British Transport Police are appealing for the public’s support after two London Underground staff members were threatened by a man.

At approximately 2pm on Wednesday (22 November) a man approached staff at Walthamstow Central station and threatened them with a knife. A short while later, station staff at Bond Street station were also threated by a man – officers believe these incidents are linked.

Today, we are releasing CCTV images of a man we would like to speak with in connection. Can you help?

Investigating officer Police Constable Noel Delpuech-Deasy, said: “These are particularly concerning incidents and we are working tirelessly to trace man responsible.

“Threatening, attacking or intimidating anyone who uses the railway, including members of staff is inexcusable and we will not tolerate it.

“I would urge anyone who has any information to contact us as soon as possible.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact BTP by sending a text to 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 222 of 25/11/2016. Alternatively, information can be passed anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
