Edmonton Remembrance Parade, N9

09:30 to 10:30 – Parade gathers at Plevna Road Car Park, behind Edmonton Green, to be addressed by the Mayor of Enfield

10:30 – Parade marches to the War Memorial site at the front of Edmonton Green

10:40 – Remembrance Sunday Service begins with introductions, hymn and Act of Remembrance

11:00 – Two minutes silence

11:02 to 11:30 – Laying of Wreaths, Prayer, Hymns, The Lord’s Prayer, National Anthem, Commitment and Final Blessing

11:30 – Parade close. Guests and the public are invited to make their way to The Lamb Public House, Church Street, Edmonton for a post Parade buffet.

Enfield Remembrance Parade, EN2

13:45 – Parade gathers at the back of The Royal British Legion, Holtswhites Hill and Chase Side Primary School in Trinity Street

14:30 – Parade marches to Enfield Chase Green War Memorial, where the service will take place and the laying of wreaths. The parade will then march to Enfield Town Market Place where a salute for those marching past will be given by the dignitaries. The parade will continue via Enfield Civic Centre to the Royal British Legion where a buffet will be available.

Southgate Remembrance Parade, N14

10:15 – Royal British Legion assembles at Tudor Way and marches from Southgate roundabout along the High Street towards St Andrews Church (near ASDA Supermarket)

11:00 – Commemorative event followed by reception and speeches at the Royal British Legion in Nursery Road

Enfield Council’s Leader, Cllr Doug Taylor, said, “Across the borough, the people of Enfield will pay tribute to those who paid the ultimate price in times of war – the brave people who took the risks to preserve the values of a free country.

“It is at these times that we can be united in giving thanks for their courage, recognising their incalculable contribution to our way of life.”
