Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades wished speedy recovery to the Turkish Cypriot leader Mustafa Akinci, who felt unwell earlier yesterday, due to high blood pressure.
In a posting on his twitter account, the President said that earlier today he contacted Akinci and sent his best wishes for a speedy recovery and good health.
The Turkish Cypriot leader felt unwell yesterday and according to reports in the Turkish Cypriot media, his meeting with political parties to brief them on the Mont Pelerin peace talks on Cyprus was postponed.
The talks, between Anastasiades and Akinci under UN aegis, ended inconclusively on Tuesday morning. The objective of the talks is to find a negotiated settlement that would reunite Cyprus, divided since the 1974 Turkish invasion.
