British Transport Police has charged a man in connection with throwing fireworks in a public place.

Hamza Ahmed, aged 18, of Ashbrook Road, London, was charged on Tuesday (1/11) with one count of ‘throw / cast / fire fireworks in a highway / street / thoroughfare / public place’.

He has been bailed to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on 21 November.

The charge is in connection with an incident at around 7pm on Monday (31/10) when a firework was thrown at Finsbury Park station in St Thomas Road, Finsbury Park, London.

Ahmed was arrested on Monday and charged the following day.
