Minister of Energy, Commerce, Industry and Tourism for Cyprus Yiorgos Lakkotrypis will be visiting London, Edinburgh and Brussels where he will have a number of contacts on tourism, investment and trade issues.

Minister departs on Sunday for London where on Monday and on Tuesday he will discuss with representatives of airlines and tour operators about their planning regarding Cyprus. The minister will hold a number of contacts in the framework of the World Travel Market 2016, an international tourism exhibition.

During his visit to the UK, Lakkotrypis will also lead a business mission co-organized by the Ministry and the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry in order to participate in Cyprus – United Kingdom Business Forum which this year includes two separate meetings in London and Edinburgh.

On Tuesday afternoon the Minister of Energy will be the keynote speaker at the London conference, during which he will present to the participants the developments in the Cyprus economy and the various opportunities available on the island for investment and business partnerships.

On Wednesday he will travel to Edinburgh where he will to make a similar presentation to the businessmen of Scotland on Thursday morning.

In the afternoon of the same day he will depart for Brussels where on Friday he will take part in the deliberations of the EU Foreign Affairs Council in the composition of trade ministers.

Lakkotrypis will return to Cyprus on Friday.
