Police are renewing their appeal to identify a man suspected of being involved in a series of sexual assaults on buses across Brent, Haringey and Enfield.

In September detectives from the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command (RTPC) released a CCTV image of the man they would like to speak to. They are now renewing their appeal after receiving information on his whereabouts.

He was last seen in the Park Royal area and is now believed to have fled to Dublin, Ireland.

The first incident happened on 11 March on a route 341 bus.

A 34-year-old woman boarded the bus at around 18:00hrs in Kings Cross. The suspect came and sat next to her at the front of the bus and began touching her leg. The victim got off the bus and at approximately 18:20hrs she boarded a 149 bus from Bruce Grove to Fore Street, N17. She noticed that the suspect had followed her onto the bus. She immediately phoned her boyfriend and asked him to meet her at her destination. The suspect overheard the conversation and got off the bus at the next stop.

The next incident occurred on 2 July at around 02:00hrs on a N18 bus.

A 27-year-old woman was travelling on the bus and fell asleep. She was woken by an unknown man who was sitting next to her, touching her.

The victim pushed the man away before getting off the bus and calling police.

Three similar incidents occurred on route 226 buses across Brent between 17 July and 21 September.

On 17 July the victim, a 21-year-old woman boarded the bus at around 09:00hrs. The suspect came and sat next to her and began touching her leg. The victim got off the bus in Acton Lane, NW10 and called police.

The next incident happened at approximately 15:10hrs on 8 August. A 27-year-old woman was sitting on the bus when the suspect came and sat next to her. He began touching himself before the victim got up and left the bus in High Street, NW10.

The third incident occurred on 21 September at around 17:00hrs. The victim, a 31-year-old woman, was approached by the suspect as she sat on the bus. The man sat next to her and touched her before he was challenged by the woman. The suspect got up and left the bus at Park Royal station.

Following police investigation, officers believe all the offences were carried out by the same man.

The man is described as of Middle Eastern appearance, 30-35-years-old, 5ft 7ins and of slim build.
