Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command have released an image of a woman they would like to speak to in connection with the attempted abduction of a 10-year-old girl.

On Saturday, 5 November, at around 21:30hrs, the girl was travelling on a route 390 bus, from Kings Cross towards Archway, with her family friends.

Whilst on the bus, the child was approached by a woman who grabbed her arm and tried to pull her from her seat. The friends intervened and the woman got off the bus in Randall Road, N7.

Once off the bus, the woman stood looking through the window, beckoning to the child.

Police would like to speak to the woman in the photo about the incident. She is white, aged in her late 20s to early 30s, with shoulder length dark hair. She has tattoo, or possibly face paint, of a tribal image around her right eye.

Detective Constable Matt Poore, the investigating officer from the Road and Transport Policing Command, said: “This incident has left the 10-year-old child, her family and friends very distressed. We are keen to speak to the woman in this photograph. Do you recognise her? If so get in touch.

We would also encourage any witnesses who were on the 390 bus at that time to come forward.”
