Officers investigating a robbery in Potters Bar are appealing for information and witnesses.
The incident happened in Wyllyotts Place at around 6.30pm on Monday, November 7.
A group of teenagers threw sweets at the victim before hitting him over the head with a wine bottle, causing him to fall to the ground.
The offenders then kicked him and stole his laptop bag and a small amount of cash before making off in an unknown direction.
As a result of the incident, the victim, who is in his 40s, suffered a cut to his head and had to go to hospital for treatment.
The first suspect is believed to be of Mediterranean descent, around 5ft 10in tall and of muscular build. He was wearing a dark blue and red beanie hat.
The second suspect is described as white, around 5ft 10in tall, of slim build with dark brown curly hair.
The third suspect is described as white, around 5ft 11in tall, of slim build with dark blonde hair. All the suspects are believed to be aged between 16 and 19.
Detective Inspector Graeme Walsingham, from the Local Crime Unit, said: “We want to reassure the public that this type of incident is unusual, but we would urge anyone who saw anything in the area at the time stated to come forward and speak to us, as you may hold vital evidence.”

A 17-year-old male and a 15-year-old male have both been arrested in connection with this incident and bailed to appear at Hatfield Police Station on December 20.
