A woman and a man have been charged with murder following the death of a baby found unresponsive on a bus in Stratford on Wednesday, 28 September.

 

[A]Rosalin Baker, 25 (28.07.91) and [B]Jeffrey Wiltshire, 52 (20.06.64) both of Morris Avenue, E12 were charged on Saturday, 1 October with the following:

 

Murder

Causing or allowing the death of, or serious physical harm to a child contrary to section 5 of the Domestic Violence, Crime and Victim’s Act 2004.

Neglect of a child contrary to section 1 of the Children and Young Persons Act 1933.

They will appear in custody at Thames Magistrates’ Court later on this morning.

 

A special post-mortem examination took place at St Thomas’ Hospital on Friday, 30 September and the cause of death was determined as a head injury.

 

Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command (HMCC) continue to investigate.
