A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a man in Wood Green in the early hours of Saturday, 22 October.
Police were called at around 03:20hrs that day to reports of a stabbing in Station Road, N22, outside the Jolly Anglers public house.
Officers and London Ambulance Service attended but the victim, a 33-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. Next of kin have been informed.
Whilst formal identification awaits, officers can confirm the deceased is Vincent Harvey, 33 (05.09.83).
A post-mortem examination will be arranged in due course.
Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command, led by Detective Chief Inspector Noel McHugh, are investigating.
DCI McHugh said:
“It has been established there was a large number of people in and around the Jolly Anglers pub at the time Vincent was stabbed.
“It is vital that anyone who saw this incident, or the events leading up to the incident, get in contact with police.
“While work continues to piece together Vincent’s movements prior to his murder, I would directly appeal witnesses to come forward and speak to officers – you may hold invaluable information to assist us in this investigation.”
