A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a man in Walthamstow.

 

Police were called by London Ambulance Service at approximately 22:35hrs on Saturday, 8 October to reports of a 33-year-old man found dead at an address in Forest Road, E17. Next of kin have been informed.

 

A special post-mortem examination took place at Waltham Forest Mortuary on Sunday, 9 October and gave the cause of death as internal bleeding.

 

Formal identification awaits.

 

An investigation has been launched by the Homicide and Major Crime Command led by Detective Chief Inspector Jamie Piscopo.

 

Enquiries are underway to establish how the deceased came to receive the injuries that caused his death.

 

Detectives retain an open mind as to the motive and are appealing for anyone who has any information to come forward.

Two men – both aged 32 [A and B] – were arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. They have been bailed pending further enquires. ‘A’ has been bailed to return on a date in late October and ‘B’ to a date in mid-October.
