Detectives investigating the murder of a man in Wood Green in the early hours of Saturday, 22 October continue to appeal for information and witnesses to come forward.

Police were called at around 03:20hrs that day to reports of a stabbing in Station Road, N22, outside the Jolly Anglers public house.

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended but the victim, a 33-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. Next of kin have been informed.

Whilst formal identification awaits, officers can confirm the deceased is Vincent Harvey, 33 (05.09.83) of Wood Green.

A post-mortem examination will be arranged in due course.

Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command, led by Detective Chief Inspector Noel McHugh, are investigating.

DCI McHugh said: “This murder has left Vincent’s family devastated and has been a big shock to the local community. There were a large number of people in and around the Jolly Anglers pub at the time Vincent was stabbed. Many of these are yet to come forward and speak with police.

“It is vital that anyone who saw this incident, or the events leading up to the incident, gets in touch. Many people present may have filmed the incident or have photos of the aftermath that could help police.

“While work continues to piece together Vincent’s movements prior to his murder, I would directly appeal witnesses to come forward and speak to officers – you may hold invaluable information to assist us in this investigation following the death of a much loved family man.”

Any witnesses or anyone with any information – including images and footage – are asked to call the incident room on 020 8785 8099 or the police non-emergency line on 101. To give information anonymously contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or visit crimestoppers-uk.org.
