Second Division

Maronites 1 Komi Kebir 2

This was definitely a game of two halves as Maronites bossed the first period and really should have been further ahead than 1-0 at the break. Their goal came early in the game when a spell of really good football resulted in a deep cross from the left that was turned in at the far post by Harry Elia.

Komi started the second half stronger and more determined than they did the first and dominated play. They were rewarded with an equaliser when Andreas Bryant fired in a cross from the left and Kyri Christofi came in late and finished clinically.

Both teams pushed for the winner and Ari Hadjikkou in Komi’s goal was called into action twice to keep his team in the game. It was Komi though who took the points when a speculative shot from distance by the impressive Jason Hayes found its way into the back of Maronites net.
