Livadia 3 Omonia 1
A fantastic high intensity game for the spectators ended with Livadia claiming all 3 points in the mid day kick off at Southbury. Elias Katsoloudi put Livadia 1-0 up after taking on two defenders and putting it between the keeper’s legs. Then early in the second half Omonia went down to ten men when their goal keeper Erbil was sent off.
Livadia dominated proceedings from then on and never looked back. A foul on Ricky Sarno in the box gave Livadia a penalty in the second half which Elias Katsoloudi slotted home for his and Livadia’s second.
Omonia pulled a goal back from a free kick with Stephanos Georgiou but Wanda Ncube restored Livadia’s two goal advantage late on to win the game 3-1.
Maronites 1 Komi Kebir 2
This was definitely a game of two halves as Maronites bossed the first period and really should have been further ahead than 1-0 at the break. Their goal came early in the game when a spell of really good football resulted in a deep cross from the left that was turned in at the far post by Harry Elia.
Komi started the second half stronger and more determined than they did the first and dominated play. They were rewarded with an equaliser when Andreas Bryant fired in a cross from the left and Kyri Christofi came in late and finished clinically.
Both teams pushed for the winner and Ari Hadjikkou in Komi’s goal was called into action twice to keep his team in the game. It was Komi though who took the points when a speculative shot from distance by the impressive Jason Hayes found its way into the back of Maronites net.
Pantel 3 Achna 0
The game was won in the first half with Achna really up their pace until the second half. Straight from kick off Pantel dominated the game making up for last week’s performance where they lost Cetinkaya Cinar. Rob Collins scored the first with a header from close range. Tabby scored the second. The 3rd goal was scored by young Theo after a great team move. A good performance from Pantel.
