First Division

Livadia 3 St Panteleimon1

Game started very quickly and the pace was just too much to handle. Within 15 minutes Livadia’s talisman Elia Katsioloudi was brought down by the St Panteliemon goalkeeper. Penalty was awarded and converted by Livadia captain Elia Katsioloudi.

The pace was moving fast . A fantastic through ball by Dan Pugh on his debut put Andreas Kyprianou through who placed the ball passed the Goalkepper. At 2-0 Livadia were in complete control of the game and a quick move down the left hand side and some fancy footwork by Andreas Kyprianou found himself 30 yards out on the left hand side. He produced the goal of the game curly the ball in the top corner over the stationary goalkeeper.

Livadia 3-0 up at half time and cruising to their third consecutive victory in the league. The second half saw a revitalised St Panteleimon who showed they were not going to give up easily and threatened the Livadia rearguard but they held the Saints to only scoring one goal with Igkli Sevaj.

Omonia 5 Anorthosis 2

Anorthosis surprised Omonia when they took the lead at 1-0 with a cracking long distance goal from Vas Chrisikos and continued playing some good football and pushing Omonia back. But Omonia eventually settled down and really took over and were comfortable for a win till the end.

Their equaliser was a Bradley Stylianou header from a free kick .Then the second a powerful header from Ioannis who scored the third and fourth when he ran on to a pass and scored with a shot from the left into the back of the net.

Anorthosis had a phase at 4-1 when they pushed the Omonia defence and scored with Jordan placing the ball from the edge of the box into the back of the net.

The Fifth goal was a great individual goal from Nektarios to finish the game with Omonia 5-2 victors.

Second Division

Cetinkaya Cinar 3 Achna 6

A disastrous start to the season continues for Cetinkaya Cinar as they barely fielded a team of 11 players with their first choice keepers missing, meaning Manager Tolga Huseyin went between the sticks and unfortunately for him, his blunders added to the worst defeat for Cinar for many years.

The first half ended with Achna leading 3-2. Cinars goals coming from a Salih Karakis penalty and Ryan Wade.

Achna pressed on taking advantage of Cinar’s weaknesses and added another 3 in the second half. Cinar’s third goal came from a good strike by Huseyin Yildiz.  A great win for Achna who hustled and battled for every ball.  Its back to the drawing board for Cinar.

Achna’s goals came from Theokli Charalambous 3, Lenos Christodoulou 2 and Chris Petrou.
