The General Consulate of Cyprus in Yekaterinburg has contributed recently in a series of events, promoting Cyprus` tourism to the Russian district. According to an official announcement, events included tourism exhibitions, seminars and photo exhibitions, with particular focus on alternative tourism and yearlong activities.

In particular, the Consulate had for a third consecutive year a kiosk in “Expotravel 2016”, the third largest tourism exhibition in Russia, that took place between October 7 and 8.

Moreover, the Consulate contributed in a tourism forum, organized by the Ural Tourism Association and in another one-day seminar, on October 12, promoting alternative tourism in Cyprus. The latter was financed by the Cyprus Tourism Organization and was held under the aegis of the Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus in Moscow.

In cooperation with the General Consulate of the Republic of Cyprus, two Press and Information Office photo exhibitions were opened, containing samples of UNESCO-protected churches and archeological sites, as well as snapshots of people, places, technology and cultural activities in Cyprus.
