Police are releasing CCTV images of two people officers would like to speak to in connection with a theft and possession of a bladed article.
At 8.40am today (13/10), two men entered the Vodafone store at London Victoria railway station.
One of them distracted the member of staff at the counter while the second man took some mobile phone accessories from the display and put them in the first man’s backpack, while the staff member was still being distracted.
A member of public saw what had happened and notified staff, who then challenged the offenders as they were leaving the store.
One of the offenders took the blade from a pair of scissors from his pocket and was aggressive towards the victim.
They then left the scene.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who recognises the men in the CCTV images, as they may have information which could help with the investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40, or text 61016, quoting reference 343 13/10/16. Information can also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
