Cyprus Ambassador to Vietnam Demetrios Theophylactou presented on Saturday his credentials to the President Tran Dai Quang.

According to a press release issued on Monday, the President and the Ambassador had a private meeting following the credentials` ceremony during which they discussed bilateral relations and ways to further strengthen cooperation in the economic and commercial sector as well as the contacts in a civil society level.

The President of Vietnam sent cordial greetings to the President of the Republic Nicos Anastasiades as well as the people of Cyprus for health and prosperity and invited the President to pay an official visit to Vietnam.

The Ambassador conveyed the President`s personal greetings and the wish to further enhance the bilateral cooperation. Vietnam`s President also made special reference to the large number of Vietnamese nationals who reside in Cyprus, noting that they positively contribute to the promotion of bilateral relations.
