The University of Cyprus ranks among the top 351-400 universities in the world, according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2016-2017 list.

According to a press release, the university ranking list «Times Higher Education World University Rankings» published for 13 consecutive years is considered one of the top three rankings and is internationally acclaimed. This year`s ranking list includes 980 top academic institutions from 79 countries.

In the category “influence on research (citations)», the University of Cyprus is in a higher ranking than 2/3 of the universities, while in the category “international image and perspective (international outlook)» it is in the top 25% of universities. The results of the University on 4 of the 5 broad categories show improvement over last year.

The Dean of the University of Cyprus Constantinos Christofides has said this is an honourable result for the university community.

“The University of Cyprus has set specific targets and will continue its course to the top, to be one of the 200 best universities in the world by 2025 “, he concludes
