Fireighters wearing breathing apparatus rescued a man after a fire at a block of flats in The Roundway, Tottenham.

Part of a flat on the ground floor was damaged by fire. One man was rescued by breathing apparatus crews.

The Brigade was called at 1526 and the fire was under control at 1606. Two fire engines from Tottenham Fire Station attended the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
