President of the Republic, Nicos Anastasiades, departed for Paris from London on Tuesday evening for talks with his French counterpart.

Anastasiades, who met earlier on Tuesday British Prime Minister Tereza May, will meet Francois Hollande on Wednesday to discuss the Cyprus problem, bilateral relations, with emphasis on energy and security issues, as well as EU matters, an official statement said.

The President of the Republic is accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ioannis Kasoulides, Government Spokesman Nikos Christodoulides and other officials.

The President and his entourage return home late Wednesday.

Before London and Paris, the President was in New York where he addressed the UN General Assembly and also took part in a tripartite meeting with the UN Secretary General and the leader of the Turkish Cypriot community in Cyprus.
