Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information following the discharge of a firearm in Hampstead.

On Wednesday, 21 September police were called at around 23:20hrs to reports of a firearm discharged in Fellows Road, NW3.

Officers attended and found evidence of the discharge but no injured persons.

Police were subsequently informed that a man, aged 20, had attended a central London hospital suffering a gunshot injury. His injury is described as not life threatening.

Detectives from the Trident and Area Crime Command are investigating.
