A Paphos woman says she has resorted to selling her home to be able to pay for her daughter’s university studies.

 

As reported by Phileleftheros, the woman has run an ad saying that time is running out and that she, by Monday, had only 12 days left to register he child at university.

 

Although the woman is from Paphos, the three-bedroomed house is situated in the suburbs of Nicosia and is being sold for €160,000.

 

“The days are passing by and I am getting more stressed out,” the woman says in her ad, going into more detail about her current situation.

 

The mother said that although her daughter did well academically at high school and has been accepted to the course she wants, she may not be able to study because of the family’s financial difficulties.

 

The woman said that she cannot even afford to pay for her daughter’s plane ticket to the country she hopes to study in and notes that, because she is already unable to pay back two other loans, her bank will not give her a student loan.

 

She also said that her daughter’s father is not providing any financial support towards their girl’s studies.
