Detectives have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to after a visually impaired man was robbed of cash in Edmonton.

On Saturday, 2 July, at 10:20hrs, the victim, a 71-year-old man, was walking home along Fore Street, N9 after he had gone shopping and withdrawn cash.

As he turned into an alley from Fore Street onto Folkestone Road he was approached by a man who punched him in the face. The victim fell to the ground and the suspect removed a number of items including over £400 in cash which the victim had withdrawn.

The suspect made off leaving the victim lying on the ground. The victim sustained a head injury and was taken by the London Ambulance Service to a north London hospital where he remains in a stable condition. He is expected to make a full recovery.

The suspect is described as a white man, aged in his early 20s and 6ft tall. He was wearing a blue baseball cap, blue jacket with white fur collar, blue jeans and white trainers.
