Yesterday’s revelations made by the former President of the House of Representatives Yiannakis Omirou are in line with statements of European officials that the idea for the haircut on all bank deposits came from the Anastasiades – DISY government. It is this decision that Europeans canceled the next day via a teleconference, as the President of the European Central Bank Mario Draghi pointed out in his statements, but the Anastasiades government insisted that it be approved by the Cypriot Parliament.

This revelation adds to a series of other revelations that disprove the reference of the President that they put a gun to his head to accept the haircut, which made the situation in the economy and society much worse.
