St Andrew the Apostle School students can look forward to another exciting, challenging and fun academic year.

Speaking at the first assembly of the new school term, Headteacher, Mr Robert Ahearn, welcomed Year 7 students and encouraged them to embrace the school’s ethos of understanding, respect and doing one’s best. He encouraged older students to be role models and take the opportunity to demonstrate leadership and responsibility in helping them to settle in.

“These are some of the qualities that the school inspectors saw in our students when they judged us “outstanding” in our first Ofsted report,” he said.

“You should be very proud to be a student at St Andrew’s and part of that is embracing all the new and exciting academic and personal challenges that lie ahead.”

Mr Ahearn then went on to describe some of the activities they can look forward to – including a trip to Paris before Christmas.

Fr John Hookway, one of the school’s Chaplains, also welcomed the students back. He led prayers for God’s help and blessing in all the school’s activities over the coming year and performed the Ayiasmo.

St Andrew the Apostle School, in North London Business Park, is now in its third year and was judged “outstanding” in all four categories in its first Ofsted inspection.
