The Cypriot registered sweet of Yeroskipou, known as “Loukoumi”, of the Aphrodite Delights company was presented in Japan and South Korea, as part of a mission organised by the European Union.
The mission aims to promote quality European products, food and drinks, in these two markets. It was led by the European Commissioner for Agriculture Dacian Ciolos, who was accompanied by a group of technocrats and representatives of 28 organisations selected from across the EU, who each presented their products.
The Yeroskipou delight, according to an announcement, was included both in the formal dinner in Tokyo and at a luncheon in Seoul and was placed on all tables with flags of Cyprus.
It was also placed on all tables during a cookery demonstration in the presence of all major mass media agencies in Japan.
Within the framework of the event, ​​specific reference was made to the “Loukoumi” by the Commissioner of Agriculture and during a presentation of European products in local media.
Business meetings were also carried out, which are expected to lead to the first exports of Yeroskipou Loukoumi in these countries in 2014.
