A FIRE near the M25 is causing chaos for motorists as smoke billows across the motorway between junction 23 and 24.

Firefighters from the Hertfordshire Fire Command and London Fire Brigade are tackling the blaze which has taken hold of several trees in Dancers Hill Road in Potters Bar.

Dancers Hill Road has been cordoned off by officers from Hertfordshire Constabulary.

Motorists travelling along the M25 in both directions have been warned to expect delays due to the smoke blowing across the road.
